Practice Areas

Five practices, one file.

Most of our matters cross practice lines. A construction defect claim turns into a lien dispute and then a title problem. An estate turns into a partition suit. Keeping those pieces in one firm means nobody has to be brought up to speed twice.

Real Estate Law

Title and ownership disputes, partition actions, easements and boundaries, purchase and sale agreements, and landlord-tenant litigation.

Construction Law

Defect claims, payment and performance disputes, mechanic's liens, delay claims, and disputes among owners, general contractors, and subcontractors.

Business Law

Entity formation and governance, contracts, partnership and shareholder disputes, breach of contract claims, and commercial litigation.

Probate Law

Estate administration, heirship determinations, will contests, trust and fiduciary disputes, and probate-related title problems.

Litigation

State and federal trial practice — business torts, property and construction disputes, DTPA claims, anti-SLAPP defense, injunctions, and appeals.

Not sure which one?

Most people describing a problem for the first time do not know which category it falls into — and it often falls into two. Tell us what happened and we will tell you what it is.

How We Work

What you can expect.

These are commitments about process, not predictions about outcome.

We tell you early whether the case is worth bringing

The most valuable thing a lawyer can say in a first meeting is sometimes that the claim is not worth what it will cost to pursue. We would rather lose the engagement than take a matter we cannot move for you.

Every case is built as though it will be tried

Cases that are worked settle better than cases that are held. Preparation is what creates leverage, and opposing counsel can tell the difference between the two well before mediation.

You stay in control of the objective

We define what you actually want out of the matter at the outset — money, a released lien, a clean title, an exit from a partnership — and we measure options against that rather than against a default assumption that more litigation is better.

No surprises about cost or status

You will know what a step is likely to cost before we take it, and when something material changes — a ruling, an offer, a deadline that moves — you hear it from us, in language that does not require a legal dictionary. You should never open an invoice containing a line you did not see coming, and never learn about a development in your own case from the other side.

Attorneys

Who you will actually work with.

8 attorneys across two offices, with trial experience on both sides of the docket — plaintiff and defense, civil and criminal, state and federal.
